When installing GNOME and its components, an error occurs: Error: Unable to find a match: gfbgraph gnome-online-miners gnome-photos. How can this be resolved?
This seems to haven’t been maintained for a long time.
Gnome is not recommended on openEuler. Use UKUI instead.
The developer version of openEuler uses GNOME + GNOME extensions. GNOME on openEuler is relatively stable. For software, it’s recommended to use Flatpak combined with Ruyi Linglong.
Below are the commands I used when installing the system. For remote access, image viewing, video playback, drawing, and similar applications, I installed them via Ruyi Linglong and Flatpak.
# Install system and basic software
sudo bash -c 'yum -y install gnome-shell gnome-session gnome-software dnf* nautilus gnome-packagekit* flatpak gedit xchm gnome-terminal vim pipewire-* libusb nm-connection-editor linux-firmware-iwlwifi google*sc* google-noto-{sans,serif,sans-mono}-fonts google-noto-emoji-fonts xorg-x11-drivers xorg-x11-server ffmpeg gvfs xdg-user-dirs-gtk vulkan-loader gcc make kernel-headers kernel-devel acpid libglvnd-devel elfutils-libelf-devel dkms'
# Advanced network settings (install as needed, use nm-connection-editor to configure)
# sudo yum install network* Network*
# Set boot to graphical mode
sudo systemctl enable gdm
sudo systemctl set-default graphical.target
